62nd Annual Mother Goose Parade
2007 SAN DIEGO MEGA STAR
San Diego's Got Talent!
The Mother Goose Parade Association is on the move to discover two musically talented San Diego's Mega Stars.
The San Diego Mega Star competition was created to discover and promote San Diego county's singing talent. The competition consists of five rounds of competition, in two categories: youth (5yrs - 17yrs) and adult (18yrs and older). One Mega Star (winner) will be selected from each category and will perform live on November 18, 2007 on the Main Stage for the El Cajon Mother Goose Parade; one of the largest and oldest televised parades in North America.
Both San Diego MEGA Stars will have wonderful opportunities. A mini tour is planned for the Top 5 in each group prior to parade day, November 18, 2007.
Each winner, with one guest, will be picked up by limousine on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2007 and taken to the Pre-Parade Breakfast to meet the VIPs and dignitaries. After the breakfast presentation, the winners will be shuttled by their limousine to meet up with the other celebrities to walk the red carpet, have a televised interview, sign autographs, relax in the celebrity green room with VIP reception, have photos taken with the celebrities, and receive the VIP Celebrity Bag of gifts.
Upon parade time, they will perform in the opening show with Katharine McPhee and Jesse McCartney. Then they will be taken to their own customized float and perform in front of the grand stands and along parade row, singing LIVE to the songs of their choice with amplified wireless microphone.
After the winners make their debut along parade row, they will be returned to their limousine that will be waiting for them, and taken home with a day of treasured memories.
AND IT DOESN'T STOP THERE . . . besides the winners being treated like stars, they have an option between $1,500 in cash or the opportunity to attend a 9 week, hands-on program for aspiring recording artists at the Big Brother Recording Studio in Simi Valley, CA - credits to Christina Aguilera, Destiny's Child, Joanna, Nikki Flores, and many more (see www.talentbootcamp.com).
Having already drawn the attention of Los Angeles talent scouts, the Mother Goose Parade Association is excited and hopeful that one of the Mega Star contestants will be discovered by San Diego's northern neighbors, Hollywood.
