The Mother Goose Parade Association will hold the 2008 Mother Goose Queen's Coronation on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at the El Cajon Elks Lodge located at 1400 E. Washington in El Cajon.

Every year, a place of honor is reserved in the Mother Goose Parade for our new ambassador and her royal court. This year, the selected individual will reign over the historical 62nd Annual Mother Goose Parade atop her very own spectacular float on Sunday, November 23, 2008. The Queen and her Royal Court will not only reign over the parade, but will also make community appearances throughout the year and will receive numerous prizes. College scholarships are also awarded to the top winners.

Our dedicated and talented committee of volunteers will prepare each participant for a wonderful experience and produce a pageant that is fair and equitable to all involved. Our mission continues to provide all of the resources available to us to assist every participant equally, and to do everything possible to help them compete with confidence, grace, composure, and success! Just picture waving to the thousands of spectators who view the parade each year, both in person and on television? It is also a great opportunity to meet celebrities and dignitaries!

The Coronation is the event that honors these young women for all their hard work and accomplishments. It is also the time when the 58th Mother Goose Queen is selected (started 4 years after the parade was developed).

It is a celebration that needs to be supported and experienced by all.
