ARIA WALLACE Sony Pictures, "Roxy Hunter"
Aria Wallace stars as Roxy Hunter in Nickelodeon and Dolphin Entertainment's movie, book, and merchandising franchise. Aria has filmed 4 Roxy Hunter films so far. The first Roxy Hunter movie, "Roxy Hunter and the Mystery of the Moody Ghost", aired on Nickelodeon in October 2007, and was released on DVD in February, which included 2 songs performed by Aria. Along with the release of the DVD, the second Roxy Hunter movie, "Roxy Hunter and the Secret of the Shaman" aired in February. Also, the Roxy Hunter merchandising line debuted in Tween Brands Inc., Limited Too and Justice stores, nationwide. "Roxy and I are alike in so many ways!! We both love adventures and love to solve mysteries, and we are both very independent, and I think Roxy is a great role model for young girls", says the 7th grade tween super sleuth.
Aria was only 2 when she told her mother that she wanted to be a superstar. Reenacting the entire "Parent Trap" movie, verbatim with exact dialogue and British accents, at age 4 she exhibited a photographic memory and performing skills that prompted her parents to enroll her in acting classes in Atlanta, Georgia.
At age 5, Aria and her family moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams and career. Aria landed her first job on "The Bernie Mac Show". She starred on many hit television shows such as, "That 70's show", "Carnivale", "Judging Amy", "Desperate Housewives", and many more. When Aria was 7, she landed the part of Hilary Duff's little sister and Heather Locklear's daughter, "Zoey", in Universal's feature "The Perfect Man". Soon after in 2006, she landed the coveted lead role of Roxy Hunter in the Roxy Hunter franchise. Presently, Aria is very well known for her reocurring role as the whacky character "Mandy" on Nickelodeon's hit show "iCarly".
Aria filmed the Lifetime movie, "Christmas In Paradise", which aired in December 2007. Aria also filmed 2 more Roxy Hunter adventures, slated to air this year on Nickelodeon, "Roxy Hunter and the Myth of the Mermaid," which aired in July 2008, and "Roxy Hunter and the Horrific Halloween", which aired Halloween 2008.
Now 12, Aria is busy recording songs for the Roxy Hunter DVD's and Sound Track. She had her first live Performance at the Ecostation Earth Day Event in Los Angeles in April 2008, and performed live at a concert and fashion show for the clothing line for Roxy Hunter at La Senza girl in Toronto Canada at the Eaton Center mall in October 2008. Aria is currently in the recording studio, writing and recording her own album.
Off camera, Aria enjoys being with her family, especially her sister Daylia, and her cat princess, singing, and playing piano, playing guitar, hanging out with friends, swimming, and going to church. Aria is totally hooked on the Guitar Hero games and reading novels, especially the "Twilight Series" by Stephanie Meyer. Aria reads and writes for her very own book review column in the hip tween/teen "Kewl" Magazine.
Aria lives in Los Angeles but enjoys traveling and visiting family when her schedule permits.
CASSIE SCERBO "Bring It On: In It To Win", "Dance Revolution"
Cassie has already established a career in dance and music as a member of the Slumber Party Girls; and now, with a starring role as Brooke under her belt in
Bring It On: In It To Win It, she has set her sights on a successful film career as well. Judging by the look of things, Cassie is going places with a lot of fans in tow. Cassie actually did all of her own stunts in the movie, which is now on DVD.
Before landing this role, Cassie rose to fame as a member of Geffen Records' Slumber Party Girls, a hip hop dance group that serves as the group hosts of CBS' Saturday morning children's programming block. In addition, the group also serves as the house band on the TV show Dance Revolution, where they perform regularly.
Her latest movie this year is called
Soccer Mom, which she played Tiffany. Her character Tiffany is so much like Brooke, in her movie "Bring It On: In It To Win It"! But to avoid stereotypes, she tried to separate the characters by making Tiffany a little more tomboyish at times and a little tougher and sneakier than just outright bratty and full of ¡tude like Brooke. As Cassie said,
"Soccer is more of a tomboy-like sport than cheerleading, so that's where as an actress I changed the characters. Tiffany is so much like the real me in the sense of soccer and being competitive. I'm such a tomboy on the inside, just a girly girl by appearance! I box, play soccer and LOVE to run track!"
Her recent film in production is called
Bleachers, which she plays Sara McLine.
When Cassie is not acting, she is back in the music studio. She loves to sing, especially her own songs. She write songs that are meant to inspire people of all ages. As soon as she is inspired by something, she gets a beat and melody, and starts writing.

JERRY MATHERSBeaver, "Leave It To Beaver"
"You know, working isn't as much fun as I thought it would be.
I wonder why older people do it so much?"
--BEAVER CLEAVER---
This is an example of the endearing words said by Jerry "The Beaver" Mathers, who remains an American institution.
Born on June 2, 1948 in Sioux City Iowa, Jerry's television show business career began at the tender age of two when he did a Pet Condensed Milk commercial with Ed Wynn on the "Colgate Comedy Hour." He continued to work on many of the early '50's television shows and in 1954, he made his movie debut co-starring with Linda Darnell in "This Is My Love." He then caught the attention of Alfred Hitchcock who signed him for the 1955 film, "The Trouble With Harry," starring John Forsythe and Shirley MacLaine in her first film role. The budding young actor next appeared in two Bob Hope movies, "The Seven Little Foys" and "That Certain Feeling." Two movies with Alan Ladd followed, "The Deep Six" and "Men of the Fighting Lady."
It was in 1957, however, with the debut of the series "Leave It To Beaver" that Jerry entered the hearts and homes of America. An immediate success, the show gained national attention and ran for six seasons, totaling 234 episodes. When it celebrated its 50th anniversary on October 4, 2007, the show became the longest running scripted show in television history. Currently shown on TV Land and in countries throughout the world, "Leave it to Beaver" has made Jerry an American Icon.
Named as one of the most well known individuals in television history by People Magazine in 1989, Mathers has a high "Q" rating for name and face recognition and is known by people throughout the world.
His television movie, "Still the Beaver", was one of the top ten movies of the week for 1982 which led to the development of a new series entitled "The New Leave It To Beaver." Jerry successfully completed filming 108 episodes which were syndicated and they aired in all major domestic and foreign markets. As well as starring in the series, Jerry also directed multiple episodes.
In 2007, Jerry made his Broadway debut with a starring role as Wilbur Turnblad in the Tony winning best musical, "Hairspray" at the Neil Simon Theater. Jerry in his first week boosted the attendance to 90% and for the rest of his run he played to standing room only houses with attendance at 110%.

JESSE HART teen rap star
Some people are born with the hand of destiny pushing them from behind rather than pointing out the way. Jesse was shoved into the world with both hands, making a great and joyous “cry unto the Lord” and he has never quieted down.
Jesse got his first taste of the limelight at a hometown pizza parlor one family karaoke night. He sang Elvis’ “I Ain’t Nothin’ But a Hound Dog” and brought the house to its feet. On top of the enthusiastic applause, he was treated to a big hug and kiss from the beautiful, blonde DeeJay. He was 5 years old. His career was launched.
His mother and father wanted him and his brother, Joel, 2 years older, to have an education that emphasized the arts, creativity, and free thinking, so their children began their schooling in Waldorf and alternative public education.
As Jesse got older and home life became tense (resulting in a difficult divorce and his father abandoning the family) he left school and took his first steps toward his destiny, daring to let his light and talent shine. Olympia, Washington, where he was born and raised, was a small town, and he was torn between leaving his friends and family behind or going to the entertainment mecca, Los Angeles, California.
He made surprising headway in Olympia, but when his best friend, Travis, died in a tragic car accident, something in Jesse was challenged to take the risk of living each day to the fullest, facing down his fear of the unknown and embracing the energy he felt pushing him to write and perform. He feels Travis still gives him the courage to believe in himself and his dreams every day.
Jesse soon found that it is true what they say… when one door closes, another opens. It wasn’t long before all the doors began opening. He found himself in L.A., with mentors in the industry who saw his talent, drive, and good heart. Aaron Rosenburg, in particular, an entertainment lawyer, spurred Jesse on to practice his writing and rapping which Jesse did whole heartedly. Jesse also began developing his presence on My Space, where his music and personal touch has captured the hearts of thousands of fans.
Aaron, watching Jesse mature in his music and performance abilities, knew the time was ripe last year to introduce Jesse to Lou Pearlman, the music industry’s “mega mogul manager” of new, young talent (such as the Back Street Boys, N Sync, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, etc.) and within days of their meeting in L.A., Jesse was calling his mother from Mr. Pearlman’s private jet, flying toward Orlando, Fla. and the fast track toward fame. Lou had a proven formula for making stars, and though Jesse was grateful and knew he was very lucky, he also realized that he was going to have to make some concessions in order to fit into a mold that seemed to be too tight a fit. However, unbeknownst to Jesse, Lou was about to enter a dark phase in his corporate life that would entail him fleeing the country, leaving a crowd of angry debtors shaking their fists at him, and an even bigger crowd of lawyers standing in line behind them.
Currently Jesse Hart has signed to Kewl Records, and is about to release 1 of 3 major singles for worldwide release.
Jesse does not have just one audience… his appeal crosses the usual boundaries one finds inherent in the music business. Whether in hometown Olympia or on the international stage, he has always extended his heart to all people, of all ages, of all races, and all religions. He is easy to love because he loves so freely. His passion for the lyric, for music, and for performing… these are his way of believing, not only in himself, but all of us. He wants for each of us to dare to believe in ourselves, live our dreams, and know that, yes, the doors will open.
JILLIAN CLARE
Jillian Clare began her career at just 6 years old and has been fortunate to appear on both the big and small screen with numerous national commercials and films to her credit along with her double award winning portrayal of pre-teen 'Abby Deveraux' on NBC's Days Of Our Lives and a supporting role in the blockbuster Spider-Man. Her stage background includes hit musicals such as Annie Get Your Gun, The Music Man, Meet Me in St. Louis, plus several original theater pieces, and an extended run as 'Scout' in "To Kill A Mockingbird".
Besides acting, the ambitious sixteen year old is an avid singer and recording artist with songs on several CD's from her younger years, including Soap Sessions 8 Christmas with the Stars plus other ROCK and children's albums. Jillian is currently learning to play the guitar, and writing lyrics with plans to record new original songs in the near future.
Aside from performing, Jillian lends her support to a variety of causes geared toward children and her four-legged friends, including her primary charity, APe Action. As the teen spokesperson for APe Action, Jillian is designing a program to educate school age children on the importance of moral and ethical values in regard to animals, people and the environment (APe). Miss Clare is a college freshman, and hopes to transfer to UCLA in 2010, majoring in her first love, theatre.

KEN KRAMER
Ken Kramer was still a kid, but he had secretly built a working radio station in his bedroom that broadcast for miles from his home. "My father accidentally picked up the station on the car radio. He shut the operation down, of course. But he also told me my program stunk". As the years passed, though, his Dad would become one of his biggest fans.
Ken Kramer went on to study broadcasting and filmmaking at San Diego State. He worked at the campus radio station while with a television concept for a show called "About San Diego."
"The first few were produced with an all-volunteer crew," Kramer says. "But the audience loved it. I knew this was what I wanted to do". "About San Diego" has become Kramer's signature work. Through visual and verbal storytelling, each segment takes a look at some aspect of our county's history and people; the funny, the odd, the fascinating. But Ken also serves as a reporter for NBC 7/39, bringing more than 30-years of experience in San Diego to the station's news broadcasts.
He's won 10 "Golden Mike" awards for news and documentary work, along with five Emmy awards, and dozens of plaques from the San Diego Press Club and Sigma Delta Chi, the professional journalism society. His "About San Diego" series has been honored by the Council of California History, the "Save Our Heritage Organization", and won several national awards for excellence in writing and reporting.
Kramer is the former director of News and Information Programming for KPBS Radio in San Diego. Before joining NBC 7/39, he was a reporter and talk host at KSDO Radio. It's a career his Dad has delighted in following. "Even though he lived in Pasadena, he rigged an antenna so he could watch and listen to my shows."
It's been a long time since his boyhood radio station, but he still loves the technical side of broadcasting. As an active radio operator, he's in touch with friends around the world almost every day from a Morse code station at his home.

Lou was only 21 when he won his first Mr. Universe title, a Guinness Book record that stands to this day. More incredible, at age 22 he won again - and to this day remains the only person to win consecutive titles! Lou carried the world of bodybuilding to new heights and himself to superstardom with the film documentary, Pumping Iron, which chronicled the fabled exploits of the youngest and only person to ever become Mr. Universe twice in a row! Exploding onto the film scene, with his place as a body building legend secured, Lou set out to do the same thing in film and television. In less than a year after Pumping Iron, Lou was again larger than life and created a new cult legend as the title character of the hit show The Incredible Hulk. The same hard work that crafted his six foot five inch, two hundred eighty five pound frame into a piece of human art, define him as an actor with the uncanny ability to assume characters of mythic proportions that carry a primal humanity.
Undoubtedly the discipline and resiliency that have made Lou into a bodybuilding icon lend themselves to his willingness to train as a serious theatrical actor. Lou immersed himself in the actor's theatrical experience with the help of his acting mentors, Milton Katselas, Howard Fine, and Hulk co-star Bill Bixby. The results were great theatrical notices in Texas, Canada, and Chicago (at Drury Lane Theater), for his starring role in "Arsenic and Old Lace," and starring roles in ambitious stage presentations of "Requiem for a Heavyweight" and "Of Mice and Men" - shows that toured throughout the U.S. and Canada. Lou's passionate pursuit of excellence has brought this Brooklyn-born actor more than fame and fortune; it has brought him the joy of fulfilling his life-long dreams.
Remaining true to his host of fans from the bodybuilding world, Lou starred in the sequel to Pumping Iron. And, Stand Tall is a film that documents Lou's 1994 comeback in the Masters Olympia title and his return to bodybuilding after a seventeen year retirement. Lou has starred in over twenty feature films including Cage and Cage II, All's Fair, Seven Magnificent Gladiators, and Godson. In two unforgettable performances in Hercules and The Adventures of Hercules, Lou lived a life-long dream by playing the legendary Greek hero.
All this led to an amazingly successful personal training business that includes such star clientele as Mickey Rourke, Michael Jackson, and Chuck Norris, and led him to author the book "Lou Ferrigno's Guide to Personal Power, Bodybuilding and Fitness for Everyone."
Lou continues his regular study of acting and he works out daily, all with the same passion and vigor that made him a household name and established him as one of the most sought-after entertainers in the business.

MICKEY JONESHome Improvement", "Sling Blade", "Total Recall"
Mickey Jones has enjoyed considerable success in the music business both as a musician and a singer. Mickey's musical career
In the past few years he has added acting to his already outstanding credits, having been featured in numerous guest star roles in hit TV shows such as "Northern Exposure," "Hearts Afire," "Evening Shade," "In the Heat of the Night," "Matlock, "Baywatch," and now Mickey can be seen as Peter Bilker, one of the K&B boys, on the smash ABC-TV series "Home Improvement" with Tim Allen. Some of Mickey's feature films include "Drop Zone" with Wesley Snipes, "Total Recall" with Arnold Schwarzenegger, "Tin Cup" with Kevin Costner and Rene Russo and Mickey also performs one of the hit songs in the film "Double Bogey Blues", "The Sunchaser" with Woody Harrelson, "Nadine" with Jeff Bridges and Kim Basinger, "Extreme Prejudice" with Nick Nolte, John Carpenter's "Starman" and "National Lampoon's Vacation" with Chevy Chase.
It is said that actors are judged by the impression they leave on their audience. Mickey Jones leaves a lasting impression.
To not know Mickey Jones by name is understandable, but to not recognize him is surprising. Jones has played hundreds of characters with one basic premise-that you do the same things you would do in real life.
"Acting is reacting to a situation. The trick to it is, don't act. You have to ask yourself the questions; How would I act? How would I feel? I don't think acting is difficult, I think we all do it everyday, without the camera," Jones said.
The difficulty for Jones came-at least initially-in finding work. This was a very different situation for him compared to his early career as a musician. Mickey played with some of the biggest artists in the industry. The First Edition,(10)years, Trini Lopez,(8 years), Johnny Rivers,(3 years) and Bob Dylan,(2 years) and all sought out Mickey for his talent in playing the drums. Yet, Mickey can remember as a young child wanting to be an actor. He thought he would like to play the bad guy in films he saw and by coincidence many of his roles are just that.
But don't misunderstand: Mickey Jones is not a bad guy. He's a hard worker. He doesn't take getting a job lightly and he worries that each job may be his last. His hard work has paid off in roles on the highest rated television show in the country. Most of the public recognizes Mickey as Peter Bilker, one of the K&B boys on "Home Improvement" but Mickey has also guest starred on such hits as "Northern Exposure," "Evening Shade," "Heart's A'fire" and "In the Heat of the Night." Mickey also enjoys working in feature films such as "Sling Blade" with Billy Bob Thornton, "Tin Cup" with Kevin Costner, "Drop Zone," "Total Recall" and many more. For the past several years, you have seen Mickey on TV everyday as the big biker on the most aired commercial in television for the breath mint, "Breath Savers." No one will ever forget that little old lady telling Mickey, "I agree, I've enjoyed your breath ever since 96th Street."
Mickey Jones spends much of the time participating in charity events. He feels that television has been, in many ways, misused and feels obligated to strive for a higher standard. Mickey further propels his notion by giving his time to programs such as D.A.R.E. and career planning for local high school kids. He is also a reserve police officer and participates in annual drinking and driving diversions during the holidays.
"Sometimes you have to make a stand for what you know is the right thing to do," says Mickey. Fearing kids reactions; he doesn't do beer commercials anymore.
His charity work is also a means to his favorite activity-golf. As a child, his father, Fred, who was a scratch player, introduced Mickey to the game of golf. Mickey would caddie for him on occasion. Mickey recalls telling his father, "Dad, I love you but this is the dumbest game. Now I wish I had listened to him."
To Mickey, playing golf was the waste of a day. That is until he hooked up with a man by the name of Kenny Rogers in a group called "The First Edition." Mickey recalls Kenny playing golf nearly everyday while the group was in Las Vegas. It took a lot of persuading by Kenny to get Mickey on the golf course. When Mickey finally broke down and went, he remembers that he played horrible. He did, however, have one 3-wood shot that went 230 yards and that shot hooked him on golf for the rest of his life. "I love this darn game but it hates me. It is the worst narcotic I can think of, it is very addicting," Mickey says.
When he's not playing golf or working, Mickey enjoys spending time with his family. He is the father of five and grandfather of six. Lately, he has spent a lot of time with his youngest grandson, Trace, who is 5. Trace's dad, Jim Mullen, holds six title belts in full contact kickboxing so Trace goes from room to room practicing his kickboxing moves. Jim is currently the WKA North American Heavyweight Champion and the WWDF Heavyweight Champion of the World.
Mickey attributes much of his success to his wife, Phyllis. They try to spend as much time together as possible and whenever they can fit it in, they love to go to the movies. Phyllis gives Mickey stability and has shown him that life is a learning growing thing. "She is the better half of this act, I married well above my station in life,"
Mickey says.
Mickey's hobbies include scuba diving, video and golf. To quote Mickey, "I'd play golf every day if it was humanly possible. My loves are my family and my work and golf."
Mickey's life is going in a good direction but not by coincidence. He credits his Christian lifestyle and a positive mental attitude. He applies that attitude to the things that he loves.
His early success in the music industry and his big success in acting have all pointed to his winning philosophy, a philosophy that has produced a solid marriage and a strong family structure.
"If you love it and you want it bad enough and you're willing to do it for free, you'll find a way to make it happen," Mickey said.
And make it happen, he has. Mickey Jones will keep making it happen, not because of some high rolling agent or outrageous stunt but by doing what he knows best, making it real.
MENUDO
Coming out of Puerto Rico in the 1970s, MENUDO was the first, and the greatest, of a wave of talented singing and dancing groups that’s still relevant 30 years later. The legendary group has sold over 40 million records worldwide, broke numerous attendance records including: 13 consecutive sellout performances at Radio City Music Hall, 200,000 fans at a soccer stadium in Rio de Janeiro, over 500,000 fans at a Mexico City concert and launching the career of international superstar Ricky Martin.
Now – two generations later – a new, updated version of MENUDO is back, with a contemporary sound and look, and the same universal appeal. The five new members Carlos Olivero (19 years old, Mexican/Puerto Rican, Chicago, IL); Chris Moy (15 years old, Puerto Rican/Venezuelan/Chinese, Bronx / Dutchess County, NY); Emmanuel Vélez Pagán (17 years old, Puerto Rican, Trujillo Alto, PR); José Bordonada Collazo (16 years old, Puerto Rican, Manati, Puerto Rico) and Monti Montañez (19 years old, Puerto Rican, Caguas, Puerto Rico / Now Laredo, TX) are young, polished, highly professional singing-and-dancing boy group. They will release a preview of new music on their More Than Words EP that was released on December 18 in Target stores around the country with their full length album to follow in summer of 2008, both via Epic Records.
People know and love this new MENUDO already. The new group came together on the MTV & MTV Tr3s reality series Making Menudo. Viewers watched the dramatic competition week after week, as fifteen young Latinos, chosen from nationwide search went through a demanding “boy-band boot camp” designed by legendary pop impresario Johnny Wright to train and choose the five best suited for the even harder job of working professionally as a performing team.
The competition is over, and now the group begins. On Tuesday, November 20, 2007, the identities of the final members of the 2008 version of MENUDO were unveiled on the climactic episode of Making Menudo. Five dedicated, ultra-talented guys between the ages of 15 and 18 were chosen. Carlos, Jose, Monti, Emmanuel and Chris have undergone a rigorous process of musical, choreographic, and professional education that required them to excel individually and to work together as a cohesive unit. Each one can sing lead, and each one specializes in a particular style of music. But they all do all styles, and they harmonize together.
Meet the Group
19-year-old Carlos Olivero is from Chicago. His mom is Mexican and his father Puerto Rican. If you ask him what he brings to the group, he’ll tell you, “I’m the urban one, I’m the little hip hop guy in the group.” He says he’s goofy and he cracks a lot of jokes, but he’s focused on his music. “I learned how to dance from my father, because he was a break dancer, so I picked up dancing at a young age – I think I was about five years old when I started dancing. Music was always in my blood because my uncles and aunts, they danced, they sang, they performed.” Ask him what it means to be in the new MENUDO, and you’ll find someone who believes in his mission: “The way we all look at it is” – he emphasizes group effort – “We’re bringing Latino back and to a whole new audience!”
The oldest member of the group is 19-year-old Monti, whose full name is José Antonio Montañez. He’s Puerto Rican, originally from Caguas, but now lives in Laredo, Texas, where his step dad is with the U.S. Border Patrol. He’s the “dad” of the group, a role he developed growing up during stressful years of relocation to different places (he learned English in Germany) while his stepfather was in the military. “What got me through was my music,” Monti recalls. “Singing in my school choir, singing in the praise team in the church choir, joining the drama team in church, that really helped me get my mind together and stop worrying so much about the great danger that he was in being in Iraq. It was hard for my mom, it was hard for my sister, and I had to step up and be a father to my two little brothers.” What does he bring to the group? With salsa, bachata, and merngue on his iPod, keeping his beloved Puerto Rico close to his heart, he’s the traditional Latin one.
Chris – full name Christopher Moy, just 15, has a Puerto Rican mom and a Venezuelan / Chinese father. He’s from the Bronx, though he now lives in Dutchess County, NY. “We all have our styles,” he says, “and mine’s R & B.” Like the others, he was a talent-show star: “I started singing around the age of six. I just did it as a hobby up until about seventh grade, where I did my first talent show, and I started to love performing, so I did more talent shows and more talent shows, and eventually my aunt came to me and told me about the audition for Menudo.” Viewers watched his skills grow under the training they received. “Honestly, before the competition?” he says. “I never danced before. So the whole dancing and choreography thing was a learning experience.” Though he was already a stylish singer, his powers grew under David Coury’s intense, at times intimidating, tutelage, while a TV audience watched: “Our ranges have increased, like, amazingly,” he says. “I can hit low notes that I’ve never been able to hit before. I can sing very high full voice, and I’m starting to develop a falsetto, which I never had before the competition.”
Also 16 is José Bordonada Collazo, another self-confessed “talent show kid” who’s been singing since he was five and started dancing when he was 11. He’s a high full tenor, and he brings a pop voice to the group. Also from Puerto Rico (from Manatí, in the north of the island), his first language is Spanish, but he’s fully bilingual. He had maybe the most difficult time in the competition of any of the five, coming down sick during the weeks of competition and getting put “on probation” in front of a national TV audience. But he hung in and came through. “We were really focused,” he recalls. He points out something about the backstage drama captured by the reality-show cameras: “Some of us had a little bit of, like, you know, uh, moments with other guys where we would disagree, but us five – I don’t really recall a moment that we fought.” (To which Carlos adds: “Within the five of us, we’ve never had an argument, never had a confrontation with each other. We’ve always been the ones that have been close and problem-free.”)
17-year-old Emmanuel Vélez Pagán (from Alto Trujillo, Puerto Rico) is Puerto Rican and proud. Ask him what’s different about him from the rest of the group and he jokes, “I’m the one with the accent!” Like the others, he’s living a dream right now, one that started when he saw another famous “boy band” on TV: “The reason that I’m singing right now is *NSYNC,” he says. They’re my idols. I just love their concerts. I just love to perform. When I saw them, that’s what inspired me to take this career.”
If he’s a little less talkative than the others, he’s also the one that gets everybody laughing immediately. “I’m kinda funny sometimes,” he says deadpan. “I don’t try to be, but people seem to laugh.” What does he bring? “I’m the Latin guy,” he says. But wait, Monti said he was the Latin guy? “Yeah, he’s like the Latin salsa and all that, but I’m the reggaetón one!”
But they all do it all, and they love the fact that the new MENUDO’s music is multi-generic. And it’s the sound of now; this isn’t your grandma’s MENUDO. They’ve recorded more than 50 new songs for their first album already, and are already veterans after working with a wide variety of contemporary producers and writers including Danja, The Clutch, J.R. Rotem, Oak, Brian Kennedy, Elvis Williams, Akon, Red One, The Runners, and The Jams. Asked about their new album, José says, “urban pop, R & B, ballads, Latin flavors, a little bit of electronic also. Some of those songs are just those types, some of the songs are all those types together. Music for the clubs, and music just to hear.” Monti adds, laughing, “Music that has never been heard before! New styles! It’s definitely gonna be loved by everybody. Everybody can relate to it. We put a lot of emotion into our songs, so we want to touch lives, we want to touch people.”
How does it feel to step into MENUDO’s shoes? Monti says, “Menudo – I think of legendary, I think of history. I think of millions and millions of fans that loved Menudo and respected Menudo. Menudo was not only loved by the Latin community. They were international stars, they were loved by international people. The globe loved Menudo. And to be part of that, it’s a huge honor. It’s definitely a blessing. Of course, like Carlos said, we’re bringing Latino back but we’re doing this for everybody!” When it comes from him, it doesn’t sound like hype. They’re serious. And the passion comes through when they start to sing.
Asked about their new four-song More Than Words EP, they count it off and drop into “More Than Words (A E I O U),” the number they performed on the finale of Making Menudo, produced by Danja and written by The Clutch. They bust out the complicated five-part harmonies just like they were singing on the street corner. The EP features the Spanish version “Mas Que Amore (A E I O U), their other original song “Move” and their remake of Donny Hathaway’s “This Christmas.” This MENUDO is very much for real. Talented. Hard working. Focused. Entertaining.
And just getting started with life.
RAJA (RJ) FENSKE
RJ Fenske is a passionate guy. When he takes an interest in something, he goes for it one hundred and ten percent. Best know for his starring role on the hit Nickelodeon series "Unfabulous," RJ portrayed Jake Behari, whose roller coaster romance with series lead Emma Roberts produced lots of fun and adventure.
Born in Germantown, Maryland, RJ discovered his passion for acting at an early age. After his family relocated to California when he was in grade school, a friend suggested that he take classes at the Beverly Hills Acting Studio. Surprising his parents with his drive and discipline, RJ was rewarded for his hard work and determination when a top Hollywood agent signed him after the studio's final showcase.
RJ started making the rounds, going out on many audition before landing his first role in the movie "Bubble Boy" starring Jake Gyllenhaal. Since then RJ has proven himself to be a versatile performer adept in both comedic and dramatic roles. He recently completed principal photography in a co-starring role in the upcoming film "Days of Wrath" which stars Vilmer Valderama and Laurence Fishbourne. RJ has taken the opportunity to grow as an actor and considers this role as his transition to more mature work. RJ says "People who have seen my other work will be surprised, especially fans of Unfabulous, it's just such a contrast. It's a completely different side of me that's never been seen before. "
Prior to his current success on "Unfabulous," RJ guest starred on such hit shows as "24," "Boomtown," "Lizzie McGuire," "Threat Matrix," and "CSI: Miami." RJ also costarred with Charlie Sheen in the independent comedy short "Spelling Bee" which premiered to acclaim at the 2004 U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado. In addition he starred in two upcoming independent films, "Dharini" & "Salinger 25."
RJ's other passion is basketball. "It's an unbelievable release for. I'm able to block out all my other stresses and focus solely on the game." As with his acting, he trained diligently to be the best he could be and even attended Michael Jordan's camp. Again, his hard work and intense focus paid off when he became a starter for his schools' teams.
Despite the success of "Unfabulous," RJ is not one to let his newfound recognition and fame go to his head. RJ is always gracious to fans asking for autographs when he is out and about. "I have the most respect for people who have the courage to come up and ask for a picture or
autograph," explains RJ. "So I'm happy to do what I can for them."
When he has a little free time, he relaxes by listening to Nil Lara or Matt Costa. He also likes chilling out with friends, surfing and loves watching classic black and white movies.
With several projects in the works, there's no doubt he will continue to catch our eyes and maybe a few hearts along the way.

SCOTT ELROD"Men In Trees"
Looking into Scott Elrod's pool blue, "Paul Newman" eyes, it's easy to see why he was cast as the new romantic interest for Anne Heche's Marin Frist on ABC's well-received "Men In Trees". He plays Cash, Elmo's free sprit, construction worker who lives in a tent and becomes a "temporary" roomie of Marin's. Scott is thrilled to have been added to this stellar cast of dedicated professionals and considers it, "the best acting school possible".
Scott, who has guest-starred on "Days of our Lives" and "CSI:NY", also appeared on "Desire" for Fox's My Network TV which he describes as "a great learning experience." Born in Germany, but mostly raised in Parker, Colorado, after stints in the Philippines and other military stops, acting has always been on his mind since seeing Tom Cruise in "Top Gun". Scott's dad, a retired "Top Gun" pilot actually flew an A-4 in the movie and his step-dad is a soon-to-be-retired F-16 Air Force pilot. Scott says, "Mom liked the fly boys, so I thought I was destined to be one."
While attending high school in Parker, Scott played baseball, ran track, excelled in math and science but was generally a bored student. Scott always had an entrepreneurial spirit and held several jobs including delivering pizzas, to laying the runways at Denver International Airport and modeling for local fashion retailers and print campaigns. When not working you could find him on the track racing motorcycles.
As expected by friends and family, he joined the Air Force after graduation and trained for his pilot's license and became an air traffic controller. With the hopes of going on to fly F-16's he realized he wanted more than what the military had to offer. Turning to his entrepreneurial skills and modeling experience, Scott and his best friend started a marketing company, which became quite successful. During the same time period he also tested his sales abilities, eventually landing the responsibility of Vice President of sales for a technology company; similar to the Air Force, Scott states "sales just wasn't cutting it", and it was at that point the "Top Gun" acting "thing" resurfaced and he knew he owed it to himself to give it a try.
Scott Elrod relocated to Los Angeles three years ago and enrolled in every acting class that would accept him, "I was studying six days a week". It obviously paid off.
Scott's recreational interests include; Flying, snowboarding, racing cars and motorcycles. He keeps in shape by kickboxing and lifting weights five to six days a week. In his spare time he hangs out with his yellow lab named, "Harley Davidson".
TAYLOR MARIE ATELIAN
From Santa Barbara, California, actress, singer, and dancer Taylor Marie Atelian has essentially grown up in the spotlight, charming audiences for the past eight years of her life on television. The entertainment bug bit her at a young age, as she would watch mini moguls Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen in movies and on the hit television series "Full House." "I always knew that I wanted to act," says Taylor, "My grandmother's kids always loved acting, and singing, and encouraged it in my family. I knew pretty early on this was my dream, and what I wanted to do."
At just five years old, Taylor landed the role of Ruby, the precocious and spirited daughter of Jim Belushi on the successful ABC television series "According to Jim." It was the first series she had ever auditioned for, and she impressively landed the role after one audition. "I had my first table reading on my sixth birthday, and I was so nervous! I didn't want to mess up. Even though I was nervous, I was very excited too. I had no idea when I was six, how long the show would run, and how the cast would become like my second family," says Taylor. Despite being ecstatic about landing the role, and realizing how this would shape and change her future in the entertainment industry, Taylor quickly came to find that growing up on a major network TV show is not an easy undertaking.
As Taylor entered first grade, and was filming "According to Jim," she enrolled at Washington Elementary School in Santa Barbara, where her mother, father, and two older brothers live. Taylor's mother, Suzy Atelian, moved with Taylor to Los Angeles to film the show, and the two stayed there during the week so Taylor would be available for rehearsals, run throughs, and filming. "My mom would pick up my homework on Monday from my school in Santa Barbara, and I would complete it during the week between rehearsals and then we would take it back on Friday," says Taylor. "My mom and I stay in Los Angeles all week, and go back to Santa Barbara on the weekends to be with my dad and my brothers, but it has been hard. My parents have sacrificed so much for me to pursue my dream, they have always been so supportive and so caring." Despite being separated from her family during the filming of "According to Jim," Taylor found comfort and joy from what quickly became her second family, the cast of "According to Jim." With her stage parents, Jim Belushi [Jim] and Courtney Thorne-Smith [Cheryl], and her stage siblings, Billi Bruno [Gracie] and Connor Rayburn [Kyle], Taylor became part of a big team that she considers to be part of her real family.
As "According to Jim" prepares to air its eighth and final season, Taylor is excited for what is coming up next in her career. Throughout the years, she has been trained in tap, ballet, and jazz. "I love to dance it is a great way to express yourself and have fun. You can let everything out, and express your feelings. I have been lucky to do competitions over the years, and I take classes at Millennium with Shane Sparks on Monday and Wednesday nights. It is pretty cool." Taylor has also appeared in productions of "Alice in Wonderland," "Pinocchio," and "Babes in Toyland."
Taylor recently performed in the music video "Celebrity" with country music star Brad Paisley, and also recently starred in the short film "First in Ten," based on a true story about the first girl ever allowed to play in the Youth Football League. Taylor also plans to use her dancing, acting, and singing skills in her next project, an all girl group called Pink-E-Swear. Taylor says, "The group has four girls, and we named it Pink-E-Swear because we promise that when the group is together, we will always be wearing pink!" Pink-E-Swear is the girl group to watch in 2009. With their debut album recorded and a television pilot written, the girls are currently pitching their projects to both record labels, and select television networks.
When all is said in done, Taylor is just a normal, thirteen year old girl. Her celebrity crush is Nick Jonas; she loves the movies "Raise Your Voice" and "The Lion King", and one of her favorite songs is "Drama Queen" by Lindsay Lohan. She gives this advice to young people, looking to get into the entertainment industry, "Keep pushing towards your dreams and goals no matter what. There is a lot of rejection in this business, you just have to keep moving forward, and believe in your dreams. I would try to give more tips, but I am the one who still gets tips, not gives them!"
